Sinopsis:
The film starts with some villagers watching a India-Pakistancricket match in T.V together. A pregnant women(Meher Vij)(Shahida's
mom)was also watching the television. That time her baby kicks her
womb. Then another women who was sitting with her asks her what she will
name her baby. At that time, in the T.VPakistan wins the match and everyone overjoys.
The second part of the film shows that Shahida's mom and her daughter Shahida(Harshaali Malhotra) was returning to Pakistan by a Delhi-Lahore express train where they met an old lady passenger(Kamlesh Gill)
who asks Shahida her name but she couldn't reply. Then her mom told
that she can't speak. She told that Shahida can't speak since then when
she fell from a down hill. Then her grandpa suggests that Shahida should
be taken to Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya's Dargah in Delhi, India, to pray for her speech to return.
Then,suddenly the train stops from which Shahida and her mom were
travelling. While everyone is asleep she leaves the train to play with a
lamb she saw stuck in a small ditch. The train starts as Shahida is
playing with the lamb. Lost in India, she boards a freight train, reaching Kurukshetra.
Sinopsis:
Piku Banerjee (Deepika Padukone) is a Bengali architect residing in Delhi, along with her 70-year-old father, Bhashkor (Amitabh Bachchan).
Bhashkor has problems with chronic constipation and traces every
problem's root to his bowel movements. His habits often lead to quarrels
with the servants, and also irritates Chhobi Mashi (Moushumi Chatterjee),
who often visits them. Piku loves her father and, as her mother has
died, takes good care of him, but gets extremely irritated with him at
times because of his eccentricities. Her colleague, Syed Afroz (Jisshu Sengupta) is a good friend, and she is a regular client of Syed's friend, Rana Chaudhary's (Irrfan Khan) taxi business. Rana has his own family problems with his mother and sister.
Piku wants to sell their ancestral home in Kolkata, Champakunj, but
Bhashkor objects vehemently, and decides to go to Kolkata. Piku has to
comply in accompanying him, since she cannot let him travel alone.
Bhashkor brings up his constipation problem and decides to travel by
road. Due to Piku being very problematic with other drivers of Rana,
they back away before Piku's trip. Piku, disappointed with the agency
decides to book a flight, but soon, Rana arrives at their home to take
the family to Kolkata himself, without informing his family about the
trip.
Shamitabh is a 2015 Indian drama film written and directed by R. Balki.[5][6] The film features Amitabh Bachchan, Dhanush and Akshara Haasan, in her debut, in the lead roles.[7] The film is jointly produced by Sunil Lulla, Balki, Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, R. K. Damani, Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Sunil Manchanda and Dhanush under their respective production banners. Ilaiyaraaja composed the soundtrack album and background score, while cinematography was handled by P. C. Sreeram.[8] The film released to positive reviews with critics praising Dhanush and Amitabh's performances.
